The Cole & Son brand was founded in 1875 by John Perry, son of a minister in Cambridgeshire. The company was originally located in a wallpaper factory in Islington, North London. An area famous for the 200 handblock printing works that were located there in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Cole & Son has completely authentic historical wallpaper, printed in an original way. Among them are some of the most important historical wallpaper designs in the world. The company supplies wallpaper to many historic homes, including Buckingham Palace and the White House.
The centuries-old archive is the main source of all new Cole & Son collections. The designs are carefully selected, adapted and colored by the designers and printed by craftsmen who are true to the original character. Cole & Son has collaborations for wallpaper collections with top international designers such as Tom Dixon, Piero Fornasetti and Vivienne Westwood.
