Jacaranda
Jacaranda is the name of a tree with blue-purple flowers, that served as inspiration for Richard Meager’s eponymous company. Not only because he was surrounded by these trees during his childhood in Cape Town, but also because he saw them in Delhi in 2003, when he ordered his first container of handmade carpets.Richard started selling Indian carpets and rugs from home at the time, but in 2010 he opened a showroom in the leading Design Center at Chelsea Harbor in London. In 2012, a head office with warehouse was also established in Northamptonshire, from where the rugs are exported to more than forty countries across Europe, Russia, Canada and the US. Jacaranda’s collections of hand-knotted, hand-woven and hand-tufted carpets and rugs are created with a team of designers and specialists. Renewable and recyclable materials are used for this, including the vegetable TENCEL ™ fiber (winner of the European Environmental Prize), which gives Jacaranda’s products – and ultimately your interior – literally and figuratively more glance. We are happy to show you these collections during your visit to our showroom in Amstelveen, where you can consult our advisors regarding your own housing requirements.
