Wiemer Collectie
The WIEMER Collection is named after ‘mother’s side’ of the Co van der Horst family-owned company. One definition of Wiemer is ‘famous friend’. The Wiemer Collection is primarily an homage to Loes van der Horst–Wiemer (1939-1991).
Co van der Horst revealed its first creation for the Wiemer collection in collaboration with STUDIOPEPE, at the 2018 Salone Del Mobili in Milan: the table object WIEMER, the 001 of an entirely new collection – produced in The Netherlands by SolidNature.
COLLABORATION WITH STUDIO PEPE
Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara di Pinto began their collaboration with Studiopepe in 2006. The internationally acclaimed design by STUDIOPEPE is layered and eclectic. One of the main sources of inspiration for the successful duo is the work by Sonia Delaunay and her husband Robert Delaunay, who developed simultanism.
COLLABORATION WITH SOLID NATURE
This company, established in Aalsmeer, is world leader in natural stone. For example, they delivered and installed 20,000 m² of stone for the National Library of Qatar, the interior design of the spa in Lanesborough, the most expensive hotel in London, but also the interior design of bathrooms and swimming pools of celebrities. Interior designers such as Marcel Wanders, leading architects such as OMA and designer brands such as Co van der Horst work closely with Solid Nature.
