Avant-Garde Dept. @ Co van der Horst
The French word ‘avant-garde’ means the vanguard, a group of soldiers that was sent ahead; they were at the ‘forefront’.
Towards the end of the 19th century the term acquired a new meaning, placing the emphasis more on design than the original use of the word did. Co van der Horst adds a new, exceptional touch to that:
CO AVANT-GARDE DEPARTMENT: “At the forefront of design and interior”
And we are not talking about those fast styles that are closer to a hype than a trend. We are talking about trendsetting in style and in use of materials, colour and sustainability.
‘When it comes to going wherever inspiration takes you, the avant-garde department is your destination’
— Co van der Horst
In addition to a number of shop-in-shops that Co van der Horst has realised with several progressive designer brands, we have created, in collaboration with the famous Milanese designer duo Studiopepe, a signature presentation called ‘an.ti.cà.me.ra’ .
